Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Department (ED) care for a travel assignment in Matthews, NC. This dynamic role places you in a critical care environment, requiring versatility and advanced competencies in emergency nursing.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - ED

• Nursing care for patients with COPD, CHF, Chest Pain, MI, N-STEMI, Stroke, TIA, new onset cardiac arrhythmia, and minor trauma.
• Conduct cardiac rhythm interpretation and manage critical care drips, vent management, and chest tubes.
• Initiate PIV starts, administer TNK/TPA, and perform conscious sedation and ESI Assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, charge nurses, and hospitalists.
• Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing.
• Ensure fluid operation within specified nurse-to-patient and CNA-to-patient ratios according to acuity.

Requirements of the RN - ED

• Minimum of 2 years ED RN experience.
• Valid RN license with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications required (TNCC preferred).
• Proficiency in general ED skillset including technology and equipment handling.
• Willingness to float as required and work every other weekend along with a commitment to holiday rotations.
