Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS CPI (required) TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: General Emergency Department skillset Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation Ability to manage critical care drips PIV start skills Experience with TNK/TPA administration Knowledge of conscious sedation protocols Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department. The unit has 43 beds, including clinical decision and behavioral health beds. This role involves handling general emergency department patient populations, including trauma stabilization, respiratory illnesses, strokes, and behavioral health issues. The average daily census for the department is around 145 patients. Patient ratios are RN to patient ratios of 1:3-4 based on acuity. Support within the department includes a dedicated charge nurse, paramedics, social workers, and 24/7 access to physicians and advanced practice providers. Technology used includes an electronic medical record system and various monitoring and dispensing equipment. Floating to other facilities within the region will be required as per needs while remaining within the scope of practice. The work environment is known to be welcoming, helpful, and fast-paced.
