Sanitation Technician

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production facility, including all machinery, floor, pipes, etc.

Work Schedule: 2:30am-11:00am & weekends required. Starting pay is $17 per hour. This role is eligible to receive an annual incentive bonus.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Undergo direct training in the operation of machinery needed for the effective cleaning of the assigned equipment.
• Prior to operation or cleaning of any machinery all employees will be given hands-on safety training.
• Clean assigned areas according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Proper formulation and testing of chemicals.
• Follow established Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies and procedures.
• Proper notification of any malfunctioning machinery during cleaning process.
• Communicate with Production and Maintenance personnel regarding status of the lines.
• Maintain sanitation tools and chemical inventory.
• Verify all tools and equipment are properly accounted for and put away.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of Sanitation Cage.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor and/or the Quality Assurance Manager.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or Associated Experience
• Must be able to work a Friday through Sunday shift
• Basic Knowledge of manufacturing equipment: including, pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves, and power sources
• Must show mechanical aptitude and be skilled enough to perform light mechanical disassembly
• Problem solving and trouble-shooting equipment failure skills
