Division Manager
Under the direction of the Regional Manager or designee, the Division Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of all day-to-day operations, administration, transportation, safety, training, and maintenance sections of the Division; Essential Functions include:
- Implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Pace rules, policies, procedures, and FTA and DOT regulations.
- Directing labor relations matters, contract negotiations, contract implementation, grievances, and other union matters.
- Managing personnel matters including oversight of hiring matters and staffing up to authorized levels.
- Performing monthly and annual budget analysis and reporting and operating within budget.
- Approving and overseeing division petty cash, expenses, payroll, appraisals, purchasing, and initiating and conducting investigations when warranted.
- Establishing division goals and collaborating with staff to achieve them.
- Overseeing the safety and security of the facility, employees, and passengers.
- Performing other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate is required; a college degree in a transit-related field or business is preferred.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in public transit supervision and operation management including labor relations, discipline of employees, complaint investigation and resolution, and incident/accident investigation; must have extensive knowledge of public transportation (familiarity with Pace Operations, Safety/Training and Maintenance procedures is a plus) and a good work history.
Certifications:
Must have a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements and a safe driving record and DOT certification.
Proficiencies:
Must demonstrate proficiency using computers with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint and Oracle preferred.
Must have basic math skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and the demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings.
Working Conditions:
This position is based on an office setting, with standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and desk space. Work is sometimes required in an outdoor environment where candidate may be exposed to inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, toxic fumes, loud noises. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This is a safety-sensitive position.
This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule or remote work.

Full Salary Range: $84,574-$194,116
Midpoint: $139,345
Anticipated Starting Salary Range: $84,574-$139,345
