Quality Assurance Technician IV (Fixed-Term)

Essential Functions Performed Create, process, and close Product Complaints. Initiate external complaints and assure all phases are complete. Ensure containment (identification, segregation, and reconciliation) of nonconforming product is performed to prevent unintended use, may include inventory management transactions. Ensure complaint returns are appropriately handled, decontaminated (as needed) and segregated to expedite investigation. Evaluate product complaints to ensure timely disposition. Audit and inspect production process and product to confirm Device History Records are completed per Device Master Record/QSR/GMP regulations, may include final review and close‑out of DHR. Assist in product and process testing, data collection and report generation. Identify training needs, develop training plans and conduct training for technicians, quality auditors, or production employees. Evaluate manufacturing work environment to ensure adequate environmental control, monitoring, sufficient personnel, and safety production controls. Research customer inquiries into Merit’s compliance with applicable standards, generate custom customer responses. Assist with supervision of technicians, assigning work, ensuring proper completion and performance appraisals. Participate in design and development activities. Perform other related duties and tasks as required. Essential Physical/Environmental Demands Lifting – not to exceed 50 lbs. Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve moderately complex technical problems. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated computer skills – preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software. Ability to work well as a team member.
