What it's like to be a Member Service Representative-Retail Fulfillment

As a Full Time, Member Service Representative-Retail Fulfillment at Zeal Credit Union in Livonia, MI, you will play a crucial role in managing a variety of member account services with a strong emphasis on empathy and collaboration. Your responsibilities will include maintaining stop payments, processing return checks and managing share drafts files. You will handle member inquiries and solve problems related to share draft accounts while processing payroll distribution requests and originating Fedline and international wires. Additionally, you will maintain member investment records, scan new member applications, and manage returned mail accounts. Your attention to detail will be vital as you process and distribute incoming Credit Union mail, correct account issues, and post various general ledgers.

This role requires punctuality and regular onsite attendance, reflecting your character and passion for serving our members effectively while contributing to a high-performance culture.

To thrive as a Full Time Member Service Representative-Retail Fulfillment at Zeal Credit Union, candidates must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent, coupled with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Empathy and strong problem-solving skills are essential for effectively addressing member inquiries and concerns, fostering collaboration within a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in a financial institution is preferred, as it will enhance your understanding of Credit Union products and services, enabling you to offer tailored solutions.

A proactive approach and the ability to work independently while maintaining flexibility will contribute significantly to your success in this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Previous related experience and financial institution experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Credit Union products and services

Schedule (subject to change):

• Monday: 8:30am-6:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Thursday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Friday: 8:45am-6:00pm
