Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of experience required License: Active Iowa or compact nursing license Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Work history and skills checklist specific to Progressive Care Unit - Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years - Valid driver's license Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with various conditions including CHF, ablation, angiogram, DKA, stroke, and sepsis. Patient ratios are typically 1:4, but may go up to 1:5. The position requires floating to all inpatient areas and the emergency department. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage multiple patient needs is important.
