Assistant Project ManagerThe Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the successful design, execution, monitoring, controlling and management of specific construction project deliverables. Working in support of Project Managers to complete assigned construction scopes and project team including Project Coordinators, Engineers and field team. Ensure project deliverables and specifics align with and support engineering, quality, and control requirements.Perks & Benefits:Competitive pay and a Comprehensive Benefit PackageHealth Saving Account, Flexible Saving Account, Employee Assistance ProgramAnnual Education AllowanceGenerous Referral ProgramFun and collaborative company culture with lots of team-building eventsFriends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel and The Emily HotelWhat You Will Do:Support in the estimate and finalization of budgets and contract priceNegotiate, close and manage cost-effective subcontract and material purchasesDeveloping, tracking, and maintaining project schedulesStudy job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and ensure progress aligns with those methods and timingReviewing critical path, and quickly adapting or accelerating projects to meet deadlinesReporting, and updating stakeholders of project scheduleComplete required tendering process and oversee contract administratorAssist in the overall planning and defining of project scope for all subcontractors, and employeesProject resource allocation and relationship management of assigned internal and external resourcesRegular project documentation, communication and reportingCost estimating, and budget development in collaboration with stakeholdersEffective identification and management of Engineering controls to ensure optimization and efficiencyProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans if requiredEnsure project is built on budget, on schedule and on drawing specificationsPrepare, adjust and complete job close out proceduresWhat You Bring:3+ years of experience as Project EngineerBachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Design or related field an asset or equivalent foreign degree or education and experienceDirect work experience in a project coordination capacity, including all aspects of process development and executionExperience overseeing multi-family projectsProject Management education an assetSalary Range:$100,000-$140,000About The Company:OnniFor over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
