Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate level of care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
• Participate in holiday rotation and every other weekend scheduling
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
• Be prepared to support emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown, IMC, or PCU nursing experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Familiarity with intermediate or progressive care unit workflows and acuity levels
