Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Hospitality Coordinator to join our team in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong computer skillset, and the ability to manage various hospitality-related tasks efficiently. This role requires working closely with volunteers, handling gift shop and bookstore operations, and managing A/V equipment to ensure a welcoming and smooth experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service through excellent telephone and verbal communication.
• Operate cash register and credit card machines accurately and efficiently.
• Manage gift shop and bookstore operations, including inventory and sales.
• Confidently set up and operate a variety of audio/visual equipment for events and presentations.
• Collaborate and work effectively with volunteers to support hospitality functions.
• Utilize strong computer skills to maintain records, schedules, and communications.
• Use MS Office applications proficiently for reporting, correspondence, and data management.
• Create a welcoming and friendly environment for guests and visitors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skillset with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Confident working with a variety of A/V equipment.
• Experience running cash registers and credit card machines.
• Familiarity with gift shop and bookstore operations.
• Ability to work well with volunteers and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Outgoing personality with a positive and approachable demeanor.
