Join Our Team as a Postpartum RN – Make a Difference in New Lives Job Description: - Unit: Postpartum (660) - Classification: RN – Postpartum / Newborn Nursery - Shift: 7P - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every Other - Call Requirements: Discuss during the interview - Documentation System: Meditech - Floating Policy: As needed Requested Skill Set: - Must Have: - NRP Certification - BLS Certification - Experience caring for high-risk Antepartum patients as well as Postpartum recoveries - Newborn Nursery experience - Minimum of 2 years of Hospital Experience - Preferred Skills: - Advanced FM experience (a plus) - RNC-OB Certification (a plus) - Experience with Meditech Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: - ACTIVE TX RN LICENSE (Temporary license will NOT be accepted) Procedures Performed on Unit: - IV placement Patient Experience Required: - Antepartum Care - Newborn Nursery Care Dress Code: - Scrub Color: Royal Blue - Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc. - Hair: Neat, clean; no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed. Hair must be pulled back if shoulder-length or longer. - Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible; unmanageable tattoos will be addressed individually. - Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings). Unit Guidelines/Policies: - Floating Guidelines: Followed as needed. - Attendance Policies: Company-wide attendance policy will be upheld.
