CHIEF Operating Officer

Position AccountabilitiesOversees day-to-day operations by providing leadership and direction to Department Directors/Managers to ensure that organizational goals are achieved.Maintains a broad knowledge of FOS programs.Look for trends and develops strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.Works with the Executive Director in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.Directs and promotes a quality culture and ensures systems and processes are in place to deliver a compelling visitor experience in the most cost-effective manner.Builds, develops, and manages a Leadership Team capable of meeting performance goals and organizational initiatives.Represents the organization while attending meetings, conferences, trainings. Builds solid working relationships with other non-profit organizations and community groups.Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies and procedures that ensure the safety of staff and visitors, enforces compliance with local, state and federal regulations and promotes a culture of professional respect among FOS colleaguesOther duties as may be assigned.Knowledge, Skills, QualificationsMaster's degree in management, Business Administration, or other related field; A minimum of five years' experience working in and managing a non-profit organization of at least $5 million Must demonstrate project management skills and the ability to build an effective team. Incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
