Note: As a union-based employer, we are unable to guarantee any shift preference following initial training on day shift. Shift preference is granted by seniority. All candidates should expect to work afternoon shift or night shift at some point following initial training.

Day Shift: Monday – Friday: 6AM to 2PM/7 AM to 3 PM

Pay Rate: $33 per Hour

Position Overview

The Welder performs MIG and stick welding to repair, maintain, and fabricate metal components and equipment throughout the facility. Reads blueprints and work instructions to position, weld, and rebuild parts to required specifications. Works with maintenance and operations to support equipment reliability, complete repairs, and ensure safe, efficient production.

General Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, equipment repair, and welding processes
• Experience performing MIG and Stick welding in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components to meet quality and safety standards
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• 2+ years of experience in MIG and stick welding
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, work orders, and perform shop math.
• Proficiency using welding tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand majority of shift.
• Job involves frequent standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.
• Must be able to tolerate extreme heat in summer months and extreme cold during winter months.
