Director Real Estate

Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000

SUMMARY:
The person in this position is a proven leader and strategic thinker who possesses solid analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, and a general knowledge of real estate and contracts. He or she leads a professional staff that enables the company’s right-of-way income and real estate–development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads, coaches, and develops professional staff; manages back-office activities; acts as the key interface to information services, finance, and accounting
• Maintains the company’s real estate database
• Prepares periodic reports and updates
• Assists with the preparation and performance tracking of real estate budget
• Processes other real estate documents when necessary.
• Assists the lease-and-license and real estate–development teams
• Leads the real estate budgeting process
• Travels to company sites as needed
• Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• At least five years of real estate background and property management experience, with a concentration in right-of-way or corridor management preferred
• Knowledge of contracts and general understanding of title issues
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Solid strategic, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to function and complete assignments in a multitasking environment

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
