BJC Home Health is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients build independence and confidence in their own home environments. Service Area : Belleville, Shiloh & O?Fallon Business hours: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm Looking for someone to work 4x8 hour days. What We Offer Company-provided laptop & cell phone Security support for home visits Generous mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate A supportive, mission-driven care team Role Purpose Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed occupational therapist as specified in their healthcare service setting. Responsibilities Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed occupational therapist. Collaborates with the licensed occupational therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions. Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient’s discharge note from occupational therapy. Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process. Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the licensed occupational therapist.
