As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer in our Edina, MN office, you’ll translate concepts into reliable, manufacturable designs while partnering with teammates across disciplines. You’ll balance analysis with build-ready documentation, and shepherd projects from requirement gathering to validation and launch.

You’ll start by reviewing requirements with electrical, manufacturing, and product stakeholders, then sketch concepts and build 3D models. The afternoon may include running simulations to test performance, refining tolerances, or writing a concise design report that captures decisions and rationale—before closing the day by updating the project plan to keep milestones on track.

• Designing and developing mechanical systems and components from concept through verification.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and finalize specifications.
• Using simulations and engineering analyses to prove out designs prior to build.
• Producing precise documentation: drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Tracking timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure on-time outcomes.
• Providing hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for current products.
• Monitoring trends in mechanical engineering to inform better designs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach.
• Clear communicator and collaborative teammate.
• Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
