Security Analyst

BB&E is an employee-owned, full-service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering, and Program/Project Management Services to the Federal and private sectors.

Position Summary

BB&E is currently looking for a Security Analyst to support the 325th Security Forces Squadron onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaboration & Coordination: Interact throughout the duty day with the general public, drivers of commercial deliveries, and a large number of construction contractors requiring access to Tyndall AFB, FL
• Technical: Enter base visitor request information into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer system to perform security background investigation checks for all visitors requesting a pass from the Visitor Control Center (VCC) and the Tyndall Commercial Vehicle Entry Gate (Cleveland Gate)
• Data Collection & Analysis: Interpret results from NCIC security background reports quickly and accurately in order to identify applicants deemed unfavorable for access

Requirements
Key Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required
• Knowledge : Prior knowledge and experience handling Base Pass & ID requirements for construction and contractor personnel, the general public, and commercial delivery drivers is desired; ability to quickly and accurately interpret results from NCIC security background reports
• Collaboration: Prior work experience interacting with the general public and/or similar security-related work is desired; ability to follow direction from management
• Strong Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good keyboarding skills
• Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously

Experience & Education

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience is required
• Education: A minimum of a High School diploma is required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
• Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
• Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
