Maintenance Technician (Entry-Level to Mid-Level) | 2nd/3rd/Weekend Shift | Growth Opportunity

Work Environment

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed production equipment (printing presses, die cutters, conveyors, and packaging systems)
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve uptime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, blueprints, and testing tools
• Work with motors, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Use tools like voltmeters, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
• Support production teams by minimizing equipment downtime
• Perform light facility maintenance as needed
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activity

What We’re Looking For

Entry-level friendly with mechanical experience

• 3+ years in automotive (lube tech, mechanic) OR
• Trade school / technical program OR
• Manufacturing setup/operator experience with basic maintenance

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read basic blueprints or schematics (training provided)

Comfortable working overtime and weekend shifts

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Industrial maintenance experience (5+ years)
• Exposure to PLCs or electrical troubleshooting
• Experience in corrugating, printing, or packaging equipment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
