Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with weeknight call; 24-hour weekend call as needed
Position Details:
Patient Population: Orthopedic patients
Setting: Inpatient and Clinic
Responsibilities: Clinical care, surgical support, trauma/orthopedic call, post-operative rounding, inpatient and ED consults, and OR coverage
Required Procedures: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement support; hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures; trauma injuries; fracture care; sports medicine; and other orthopedic disorders
EMR System: GE Centricity (Clinic), EPIC (Hospital)
Support Staff: Nursing support, cast technicians, reception staff, and surgery schedulers
Days Per Month: PRN coverage as needed
On-Call/Weekends: Weeknight call; 24-hour weekend call as needed
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner
- Active Iowa License or Active Compact/IMLC LOQ (copy required at time of name clear)
- Clean Malpractice History
- Updated CV required at the time of name clear
