Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments and observational techniques for diverse populations, from children to adults.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that address communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues in one-on-one sessions.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families to ensure cohesive care.
• Provide family and patient education to enhance progress outside of the treatment environment.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation to meet all regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification must be acquired within the first 30 days of employment.
