Communications & Member Engagement Manager I Impact 100 Palm Beach County

Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a women's collective giving organization dedicated to creating transformational change in southern Palm Beach County. Through the power of collective philanthropy, 100% of every member's donation goes directly to local nonprofit grants in five focus areas: Arts, Culture & Historical Preservation, Education, Environment & Animal Welfare, Family, and Health & Wellness. Now entering our 16th year, we are seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Communications & Member Engagement Manager to help elevate our storytelling, strengthen member engagement, and grow our visibility in the community.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a typical communications role. As the Communications & Member Engagement Manager, you will function as the right‑hand partner to the President and Communications Chair; the connective tissue between leadership, members, vendors, and the public. You'll own the full lifecycle of communications: from building the season calendar and producing event collateral, to posting event photos the same night and growing our social media following every week. The work is primarily remote, but our events are in‑person and your presence at key moments matters. You'll have the advantage of a full year working alongside the current Communications Chair as your mentor, learning the organization from the inside out before taking on greater independence in Year 2. We're looking for someone who is excited to become a long-term part of the organization and who brings genuine enthusiasm for the mission, not just the job description.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative & Internal Communications Produce all organizational communications: invitations, announcements, event programs, member updates, and promotional materials primarily in Canva Assist in producing the Annual Impact Report — editing content from grant managers and liaising with the outside design firm for print‑ready layout Produce the Grand Awards Celebration program and all related collateral Maintain the season communications calendar and keep leadership informed of upcoming deadlines Support presentation materials, event signage, and in‑the‑moment requests with a proactive, solutions‑first attitude Develop and document SOPs for the approval and production process, working within brand guidelines and adapting to each president's aesthetic preferences Publishing a quarterly newsletter External Communications/Social Media Own Impact 100 PBC's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn — posting consistently (at minimum weekly) and monitoring all channels for engagement and inquiries Create and schedule content including posts, stories, reels, and event coverage; use platform schedulers to plan content calendars in advance Deliver event photo highlights the same night or following day — timely posting is a key expectation Maintain and update website content; partner with the web vendor on the upcoming redesign Manage relationships with local media outlets, magazine editors, and newspaper reporters — serving as the primary point of contact for press coverage and story coordination Draft, edit, and submit press materials, contributed articles, and organization announcements to external publications Use analytics to inform content strategy and report on growth trends Event Support Attend and represent Impact 100 PBC at signature events: Fall Kickoff (Oct), Holiday Party (Dec), Wines Around the World (Jan), Impact Talks (Feb), Spring Soiree (Mar), Grand Awards (Apr), and others Coordinate with event photographers, assist with content capture, identify members in photos, and organize all event assets in Dropbox (transitioning to Google Drive) Manage pre‑event, day‑of, and post‑event communications and social media coverage Arrange a surrogate to cover events you cannot attend, and brief them accordingly Serve as a communications partner to the grants team, membership committee, and event chairs — helping each group communicate effectively Support membership growth through compelling communications and timely follow‑up Manage external vendors and creative partners (design, web, print) with clear direction and accountability — keeping the brand consistent even when delegating Support the organization's transition to Google Workspace and MemberLeap platform as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required Strong written communication skills with a sharp editorial eye — you can unify multiple voices into one consistent brand voice Advanced proficiency in Canva; able to produce polished materials independently and move fast on last‑minute requests Hands‑on social media management experience: you know how to make a reel, schedule a content calendar, and respond to community messages Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously Self‑directed and proactive — you anticipate what's needed rather than waiting to be told Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while staying responsive and available Collaborative and adaptable: you work well with different personalities and adjust your approach as leadership changes year to year Flexible availability for ~15 in‑person events and occasional evening commitments throughout the season Preferred Experience in nonprofit communications, membership organizations, or event marketing Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for content drafting and efficiency; this is increasingly part of how we work Experience with Dropbox, Google Drive, Constant Contact, or similar tools; MemberLeap experience is a plus but not required Graphic design sensibility and visual storytelling ability Background in corporate communications, PR, or marketing with a desire to apply those skills in a mission‑driven context

WHAT WE OFFER

Annual salary of $60,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience, for an approximately 20 to 25 hour per week position Organization‑provided laptop and software (Canva Pro, AI tools, relevant platforms) One week of paid vacation after six months Professional development support including membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chamber of Commerce and Nonprofits First A full year of mentorship alongside the current Communications Chair before stepping into a more independent role A close‑knit, mission‑driven team where your contributions are visible, valued, and directly tied to $100,000 grants going to local nonprofits
