Location: Pendleton, IN 46064 | Onsite | $18.50/hr | 37.5 hrs/week

Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage students in the classroom when the teacher is absent
- Take attendance, monitor behavior, and ensure assignment completion
- Maintain accurate daily records and prepare clear, concise reports
- Guide students with assignments left by the classroom teacher
- Enforce classroom policies to prevent incidents and maintain safety
- Operate classroom equipment and maintain educational supplies
- Collaborate with staff, interns, volunteers, and community agencies
- Participate in faculty meetings and multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold a positive public image
- Complete all required training, certifications, and background checks

Required Skills and Experience

- High school diploma
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to implement teacher lesson plans and support student growth
- Classroom management skills
- Teamwork and willingness to accept supervision and feedback
- Eligibility to pass background checks, drug screen, TB test, DCS check, and fingerprinting
- Commitment to onsite training (up to 3 weeks)
- Willingness to obtain a substitute teaching permit if not already held
