Travel Nurse (RN) Operating Room provides high-impact patient care in a fast-paced OR setting for a 13-week assignment in or near Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The role offers competitive compensation up to $3,400 per week and comprehensive benefits for a seasoned RN with cardiovascular and thoracic experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiovascular, thoracic, and interventional cases in a fast-paced OR environment
2. Manage patient monitoring and assist with complex procedures such as CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, and robotic thoracic surgeries
3. Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and tech staff to ensure seamless operative workflows
4. Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system (EPIC) and ensure compliance with safety protocols
5. Support the unit by assisting with instrumentation, case preparation, and responding to on-call requirements as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular OR or related operating room specialties
• Valid state nursing license
• Proficiency with hospital electronic charting systems (EPIC)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle rotating call shifts

Preferred Skills:

• Cardiovascular Surgical Therapy (CST) certification
• Cardiovascular Surgical Fellowship Associate (CSFA) certification
• Previous travel nursing experience
