Pro Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Riverview, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be an essential part of our rehabilitation clinic, assisting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering exceptional patient care. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at our hospital-affiliated rehabilitation clinic. Our environment fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals, allowing for effective interdisciplinary communication with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. As a PTA, you will interact with patients in a supportive, encouraging atmosphere, where teamwork is integral to our approach. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans that target mobility improvement, strength enhancement, and functional capacity recovery.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, encouraging adherence to their rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients on correct body mechanics, exercise techniques, and provide tailored home exercise programs to help facilitate recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermal therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Track patient progress by monitoring vital metrics like range of motion and strength, documenting improvements and setbacks effectively.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment environment, ensuring that equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coherent and optimized patient care pathways.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, creating a positive, motivating atmosphere for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality, fostering a respectful and professional environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, trauma, chronic pain conditions, and those with neurological disorders. Tailoring rehabilitation strategies to suit varying ages—from pediatric patients to geriatric individuals—will be essential. Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active and valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid grasp of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy principles.
• Experience in administering physical therapy modalities under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient rapport.

Compensation and Benefits
