Rebound Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Riverview, Florida. Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art facility within a hospital setting in Riverview, Florida. This allows us to seamlessly integrate with other healthcare services and professionals, supporting comprehensive patient care. Our clinic operates with a collaborative spirit, emphasizing teamwork among Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other medical staff. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate patient attendance and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through a range of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and modalities that promote physical recovery and alleviate discomfort, ensuring each session is tailored to their individual progress.
• Educate patients about proper body mechanics, demonstrate effective exercise techniques, and provide guidance on home exercise programs, fostering their independence in recovery.
• Administer therapy modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold treatments, all under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking changes in range of motion, strength improvements, and functional mobility to ensure treatment effectiveness is measured and adjusted as needed.
• Prepare treatment areas by ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and readily available, thus streamlining therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, aiming to optimize patient rehabilitation outcomes through comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive, nurturing environment.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards, respecting patient confidentiality and rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a PTA will involve working with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. You will engage with patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric groups, tailoring therapeutic interventions to suit their specific recovery needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and various therapeutic interventions.
• Ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities effectively while following supervision protocols established by Physical Therapists.

Compensation and Benefits
