Senior Java Developer

CGI is looking to hire a Java developer specializing in building secure, scalable, and high performance RESTful and event driven APIs to work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in US in a challenging technical environment and gain exposure of advanced tools and technology suites. This role will require someone at our client site 5 days a week in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, or Dallas, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design development and implementation of Java RESTful services that integrates Angular UI or with external client systems
• Analyzes user requirements and defines technical project scope and assumptions for assigned tasks
• Creates technical designs for new systems, and/or modifications to existing systems
• Translates detailed requirements into functional system designs
• Work closely with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ years overall experience
• 6+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services (Java/J2EE development with REST API, Spring Boot, Openshift Container, Angular, XML, JSON, UML, Jenkins, Swagger)
• 4+ years building containerized micro services and deploying container apps
• 4+ years of GitHub, Jenkins and CI/CD server
• 3+ Experience Integrating with Angular user interface
• Experience writing unit tests for JavaScript code.
• Works independently within a team environment in one of the applications
• Proficiency in using Co Pilot for coding efficiency
• Experience using Agile methodologies for developing application

Compensation and Benefits:

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $156,700.00. CGI's benefits are offered to eligible professionals on their first day of employment to include:
