Staff Development Coordinator (RN)

Pawtucket Falls Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and organized Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Pawtucket, RI. The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting orientation, education, and ongoing training programs for nursing staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote high-quality resident care.

Schedule: Full-Time - Monday to Friday Includes participation in an on-call rotation schedule.

Qualifications:

• Active Rhode Island RN license in good standing
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Previous staff development or education experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations
• Ability to lead educational programs and support staff development

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation for nursing staff
• Develop and implement ongoing staff education and in-service programs
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, OSHA, and facility training requirements
• Maintain accurate education and competency records
• Assist with infection control education and initiatives
• Monitor and track employee licenses, certifications, and mandatory training
• Support clinical staff with skills validation and competency assessments
• Collaborate with department heads to identify educational needs
• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with policy and procedure updates related to staff education
