Network Engineer

The essential duties, experience, education requirements, and salary are subject to change.* This position offers an initial term of employment of two (2) months, with the potential for continued employment based on future contract opportunities and funding. The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the voice and data network systems. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of network systems, applications, security, and configurations within the physical and virtual network infrastructure. This position uses a thorough knowledge of network processes, concepts, best practices, and network protocols and security. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Administers and maintains computer networks and related computing environments. Coordinates with stakeholders to identify network needs and develop basic network solutions. Troubleshoots and resolves moderate network issues independently. Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required. Optimizes configurations to improve performance and efficiency. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies. Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently. Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and four to eight (4-8) years related experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. EOE including Disability/Vet The estimated pay range for this role is $85,000 to $125,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
