Position Title: Registered Nurse

Location: Albany, NY 12206

Duration: 2 years contract

Work Schedule: M-F: 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Review and evaluate facility-reported incidents involving adult care facilities, assisted living programs, nursing homes, and licensed home care providers.
• Determine appropriate triage levels based on the severity and urgency of reported incidents and complaints.
• Finalize initial incident reports and ensure accurate documentation of all intake activities.
• Contact healthcare facilities to obtain additional information and clarification when necessary.
• Receive, assess, and process written and verbal complaints related to long-term care services.
• Enter complaint and incident information into centralized complaint and incident tracking systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Refer complaints and incidents to appropriate regional offices for investigation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and track assigned cases to ensure timely processing and follow-up.
• Prepare, review, and send correspondence to healthcare facilities regarding complaints, incidents, and requests for information.
• Respond to general inquiries regarding complaint intake procedures and reporting processes.
• Document investigation outcomes, findings, and case updates within secure databases.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient, facility, and investigation information.
• Participate in daily case reviews and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Assist in the preparation and compilation of management reports and statistical data.
• Collaborate effectively with regional offices, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
• Interpret and apply applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing adult care and assisted living facilities.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and complex data entry systems to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Demonstrate strong telephone communication, active listening, and written communication skills when interacting with callers and facilities.
• Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making when evaluating complaints and determining next steps.
• Participate in required orientation, training programs, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Active RN License for NYS
• BLS by AHA
• 2 Years RN experience in Aging and Long-Term Care
