Job Description We are seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Chicago team. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level to senior associate looking to expand their litigation expertise while working on challenging, high-impact disputes.In this role, you will: Represent sophisticated clients in complex commercial litigation and business disputes. Draft compelling motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents. Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and deposition preparation. Support case strategy, legal research, and pretrial preparation for complex litigation matters. Work on disputes involving securities, breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duties, and other significant commercial claims. Assist with class actions, multidistrict litigation, white-collar matters, and regulatory investigations. Collaborate with experienced litigation teams on case development, risk assessment, and dispute resolution. Gain exposure to emerging litigation areas, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology-related disputes. Take ownership of meaningful case responsibilities while continuing to develop your advocacy and litigation skills. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active admission to practice law in Illinois. 4+ years of experience in complex commercial or civil litigation at a law firm. Hands-on experience with discovery, brief writing, and pretrial preparation. Strong legal research, written advocacy, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple complex matters and collaborate effectively with clients and litigation teams. Experience with securities litigation, class actions, white-collar matters, or sophisticated business disputes preferred. Experience at a reputable commercial law firm preferred. Strong academic credentials preferred. Exposure to cybersecurity or data privacy litigation is a plus.
