Paralegal PositionQuintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national law firm, has an immediate opening for a paralegal in our Lexington, Kentucky office. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.Job SummaryThe paralegal in this role will support attorneys handling civil defense litigation matters. This is a hands-on position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while working collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and staff in a fast-paced environment.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDraft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, subpoenas, correspondence, and reports under the attorney's directionPrepare and track subpoenas and other requests for informationOrganize, maintain, and manage case files (physical and electronic)Monitor case progress and escalate issues requiring attorney involvementMaintain and manage attorney calendars, including trial dates and discovery deadlinesAssist with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, coordinating materials, and organizing case filesConduct legal research and assist with case development as neededReview, organize, and summarize case-related documents and recordsAssist with bankruptcy-related matters and federal court removals, as applicableCoordinate with clients, experts, and court personnelPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications3+ years of paralegal experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation, preferably in a high-volume law firm environmentExperience with state and federal court filing, including e-filing systemsFamiliarity with bankruptcy and federal court removals preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certificate a plusPhysical DemandsThis position is primarily sedentary and requires extended periods of sitting and the use of office equipment.
