Job Details Job Location: 2765 Bethany Bend - Alpharetta, GA 30004 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School King’s Ridge Christian School, a PK–12th grade private Christian school located in Alpharetta, Georgia, is seeking dynamic, dependable, and caring individuals to serve as Substitute Teachers in our Lower, Middle, and High Schools for the upcoming school year. Job Summary Substitute Teachers serve in the absence of a regular contracted teacher on an as-needed basis throughout the school year and may serve in the Lower School, Middle School, or High School, depending on the school’s needs and the substitute’s availability and qualifications. Substitute Teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment while carrying out the daily lesson plans and classroom expectations established by the regular teacher. Substitute Teachers play an important role in supporting student learning and providing consistency for our students when their regular teacher is unavailable. Essential Responsibilities Follow the lesson plans, instructions, and classroom procedures provided by the regular teacher. Provide appropriate instruction and supervision for students in the assigned classroom. Maintain a positive, respectful, and orderly classroom environment. Monitor student behavior and reinforce school and classroom expectations. Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned duties as needed. Take attendance and complete any required classroom documentation. Communicate any significant student or classroom concerns to the appropriate school personnel. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school information. Follow all King’s Ridge Christian School policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Serve as a positive role model for students and represent the mission and values of King’s Ridge Christian School. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. Qualifications & Skills Ideal candidates will: Demonstrate a personal commitment to Christian values and support the mission and philosophy of King’s Ridge Christian School. Have previous teaching, substitute teaching, childcare, coaching, tutoring, or other experience working with children or students. Possess strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Be dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to respond appropriately to the needs of students. Be comfortable working with students across a variety of grade levels and developmental stages. Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing classroom needs. Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude. Be committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment for all students. Education/Experience: Previous experience working with children or students is preferred but not required. Teaching or education experience is a plus. Schedule: As-needed/substitute basis throughout the school year, with opportunities to accept assignments in the Lower, Middle, or High School based on school needs and the substitute’s availability and qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr Kings Ridge Christian School
