Site Engineer II

Site Engineer II – Contributing member to the site level Data Center Operations team assigned to one or more of our data center properties reporting directly to the Manager Engineering Operations. Responsibilities Gain a complete understanding of DLR and site related items: facility layout and MEP systems, equipment nomenclature, facility drawings, equipment sequence of operations, SLAs, EOPs, BMS alarm functionality, event management, incident reporting, CMMS, and incident resolution. Understand all aspects of data center operations, including operation, maintenance, and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting a 24x7 operation to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs. Supervise construction activity and installations as required. Execute site specific change management processes including creation of Method of Procedures (MOPs) for low risk preventative maintenance and repairs and oversee their implementation. Effectively troubleshoot site mechanical and electrical systems. Respond to unplanned events without immediate supervision. Efficiently complete rounds/inspections and detect anomalies. Develop or improve SOPs for site specific equipment. Gain knowledge of local customers’ business and data center operation. Support accreditation initiatives such as SSAE16, SOC2, ISO 27001 as required. Complete DLR Critical Awareness Training. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in mission critical facilities operating/engineering or equivalent equipment experience, including UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety systems. Hands‑on electrical or mechanical skill with competence in the non‑expertise area. Strong knowledge of UPS and cooling system architectures. Strong understanding of redundancy configurations and equipment risks (N+1, 2N, ATS/ST, failover scenarios). Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, Visio or AutoCAD. Basic understanding of emergency situations and escalation processes. Strong understanding of CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, stretch, work under raised floor, and climb ladders up to 16 ft. #J-18808-Ljbffr Digital Realty
