This role focuses on supporting the financial integrity of housing and transitional resident programs by ensuring accurate billing, contract tracking, rent collection, and monitoring of program budgets and expenditures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Medical Respite & Social Care AdministrationResponsible for Medical Respite billing and accounts receivable processingTrack revenue and expenses related to Medical Respite and social care network programsMonitor and maintain all social care network contracts, including funding allocations and expendituresEnsure social care network budgets are properly utilized within contract periodsNotify appropriate staff of unspent balances or potential funding issues before contract expiration datesMaintain accurate records of short-term transitional resident funding and expensesPrepare reports related to program funding, expenditures, and receivables as requestedAccounts Receivable & Rent ManagementMaintain Accounts Receivable ledgers for resident rent charges and paymentsVerify, record, and post all rent receipts accurately and timelyMail rent receipts to residents as requiredPrepare and maintain spreadsheets tracking resident rent arrearsPrepare and distribute arrears notification letters to residents monthlyAt the direction of Housing Specialists, contact residents regarding outstanding rent balances and meet with residents to discuss implications of non-payment of rent and establishing of payment plansTrack and reconcile rent accounts for Community Residences and Adult Home programsEnter, transmit, and post Medicaid billing informationProcess resident rent charges and ensure proper documentation and reconciliationFinancial Tracking & ComplianceMaintain accurate financial records in compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements. Assist with audits, reconciliations, and reporting requirements related to grants and contractsMonitor accounts to ensure accuracy and timely follow-up on outstanding balancesWork collaboratively with program and finance staff to ensure compliance with contractual and financial obligationsAll other relevant duties assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Associate 's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferredMinimum of 2 years of accounts receivable, billing, or nonprofit finance experience preferredExperience with Medicaid billing and nonprofit contract management is highly desirableStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesKnowledge of nonprofit housing, supportive housing, or transitional housing programs (Preferred)Familiarity with grant-funded programs and budget tracking (Preferred)Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations (Preferred)SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pmPAY: $60,000 Annually(Non-exempt)LOCATION: Main Office in Islip Terrace, NYIf you're passionate about making a difference and contributing to our mission, we want to hear from you.
