Senior CNC Machinist
Senior CNC Machinist Direct hire location: Berne, IN pay: $28$32/hour (based on experience) 1st shift | MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM overtime: as needed
Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Berne, IN to hire a Senior CNC Machinist for a full time opportunity. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who can independently set up, troubleshoot, and make program edits while holding tight tolerances. If you're someone who can walk up to a machine, understand the print, and make the necessary adjustments to get quality parts out consistentlywe'd love to talk to you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up, operate, and run CNC machines for precision part production
- Machine parts to exact tolerances based on complex blueprints
- Load, edit, and adjust CNC programs to match tooling and job requirements
- Select proper tooling and make adjustments based on material and application
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues independently
- Perform hand finishing work such as filing, fitting, and scraping
- Record labor and production data accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
What You Need to Qualify
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school certification or equivalent hands-on machining experience preferred
- Advanced CNC machining experience (setup + program editing required)
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints independently
- Strong understanding of tooling selection and machining applications
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and adjust programs, tooling, and processes
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass a background check
This is a true senior-level rolecandidates must be comfortable running machines, completing setups, and making program edits without supervision.
