As a Temp Registered Nurse on the 2 North Medical-Surgical Unit, you will provide patient-centered, evidence-based care to a varied patient populationincluding general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, trauma, plastic surgery, and stroke patients. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you'll implement personalized care plans, promote patient safety, and foster positive outcomes. Your leadership, clinical expertise, and effective communication will contribute to a thriving, team-oriented environment that values professional growth.

Required Skills:

• Valid RN license in Michigan or compact state
• Proven clinical knowledge in adult medical-surgical nursing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently and adapt in a fast-paced setting
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in trauma or stroke units
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 1+ years of relevant med-surg nursing experience
• Familiarity with clinical pathways and interdisciplinary team approach

Other Requirements:

• Strict adherence to McLaren Northern's new 3-strike attendance policy starting June 1, 2024 (with exceptions for communicable disease or hospitalization with documentation)
• Ability to start on 06/15/2026
• Willingness to travel and stay in Petoskey for the duration of the assignment
• Willing to comply with all hospital and licensing requirements
