Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Mystic, CT
Medtronic
Senior Manufacturing Engineer supporting operations at Medtronic's Mystic, Connecticut facility. The role involves leading process design, equipment troubleshooting, validation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across chemical processing and manual assembly operations.
Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies and processing operations
- Lead equipment troubleshooting, validation activities, and process improvement projects
- Maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Inspect machinery and equipment performance; identify and address operational deficiencies
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Facilities, Maintenance, and EHS teams on complex operational challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 years relevant manufacturing experience
- Master's degree with minimum 2 years relevant experience, or PhD
- Equipment troubleshooting and process improvement experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing compliance and regulations
- Cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP or PLM platforms
