Job Description

This role focuses on handling incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse environment. You track inventory, maintain accurate records, package and weigh items, print shipping labels and postage, inspect received goods for damage, and ensure products are properly distributed to other departments. You work closely with shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced setting that requires accuracy, organization, and comfort with overtime.

Shipping Clerk – 1st Shift (6:00 AM–4:30 PM)

Pay Range: $22–$24 per hour

Location: Chattanooga, TN

We’re hiring a reliable, detail‑driven Shipping Clerk to support outbound logistics on 1st shift . This role is ideal for someone comfortable with fast‑paced warehouse environments, accurate documentation, and safe forklift operation.

What You’ll Do

• Forklift operation for loading, staging, and moving outbound freight

• Bill of Lading documentation including preparing, reviewing, and verifying shipment details

• Maintain accurate shipping records, labels, counts, and system entries

• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure timely departures

• Inspect outbound loads for accuracy and compliance with customer requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Forklift experience (stand‑up or sit‑down)

• Strong attention to detail and comfort with computer‑based documentation

• Ability to read, complete, and verify BOLs and shipping paperwork

• Dependable attendance and ability to work the full 6 AM–4:30 PM schedule

• Shipping or warehouse experience preferred but not required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
