SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group C

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


To demonstrate a caring and positive relationship with parents and students; to have a positive working relationship with the Director or Principal and other staff members and to assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an office

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Receives telephone calls, takes messages, answers questions, routes calls as necessary;
• Assists with routine office work, i.e., processing mail and assisting staff with clerical and informational needs;
• Prepares reports as required;
• Files as needed;
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Less than one year of work experience;
• Strong computer skills, including word-processing ability;
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS


TIME MANAGEMENT: Routine work with occasional planning of two to twelve weeks in advance;

PUBLIC CONTACT: Interacts with students, staff members and parents;
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Performs job duties, as assigned.
EVALUATION PROCEDURE: In accordance with Governing Board policy.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director or appropriate site principal;
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
