Accounts Payable Associate

Medical Facilities of America is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing team as an Accounts Payable Associate on-site at our Lakewood, NJ office.

As a member of our Accounts Payable team, you'll process financial transactions, verify vendor invoices, ensure correct expense coding, maintain accurate records, and assist with accounts payable reporting. This position is a strong fit for someone with banking experience who is accustomed to handling financial transactions, balancing accounts, reviewing documentation, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. What you'll do

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review and reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
• Perform data-entry tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Provide support with accounting-related issues as needed.
• Perform other duties necessary for the successful operation of the organization.

What you need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a bank teller or in banking, accounts payable, bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or a similar role
• Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to process financial transactions accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience reviewing documentation, reconciling transactions, or resolving discrepancies
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial and business information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting or banking software is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to learn accounts payable processes and procedures

This is a fully on-site position based in our Lakewood, NJ office. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
