Accounts Payable Associate

Medical Facilities of America is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing team as an Accounts Payable Associate on-site at our Lakewood, NJ office. As a member of our Accounts Payable team, you'll process financial transactions, verify vendor invoices, ensure correct expense coding, maintain accurate records, and assist with accounts payable reporting. This position is a strong fit for someone with banking experience who is accustomed to handling financial transactions, balancing accounts, reviewing documentation, and maintaining a high level of accuracy. - Expected pay range of $21-$23 per hour
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review and reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and financial records.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
- Perform data-entry tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide support with accounting-related issues as needed.
- Perform other duties necessary for the successful operation of the organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a bank teller or in banking, accounts payable, bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or a similar role
- Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to process financial transactions accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience reviewing documentation, reconciling transactions, or resolving discrepancies
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial and business information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with accounting or banking software is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to learn accounts payable processes and procedures
