Middle School Special Education Teacher – Autism Support

Location: Allentown, PA
Position Type: Full-Time
Setting: Middle School | Autistic Support
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 10, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM–2:45 PM
Hours: 35 Hours/Week
Class Size: Approximately 8 Students

We are partnering with Allentown School District to hire a Special Education Teacher to support students in a middle school autistic support program for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Details

Work in a middle school autistic support classroom
Support a small group of approximately 8 students
Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs
Develop and implement appropriate academic, behavioral, and functional supports
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other school staff
Create a structured and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications

PA Teaching Certificate required
Certification must cover Special Education for middle school-aged students
Special education and/or autism support experience preferred
Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
Ability to provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
