Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world This is your opportunity to join the Receiver, Exciter, & Back End Processing Department as an Embedded Software Engineer. The department’s primary goal is to design, develop, and support land and sea-based radar systems. What You Will Do: Develop C++, Python, or Matlab implementations of signal processing algorithms or time critical control functions involved in direct control of sensor systems running on Linux or VxWorks. Maintain legacy sensor software systems Assist in developing architecture and design of high throughput/high performance computing platforms utilizing general purpose CPUs and GPUs. Work with systems, hardware, and software engineers to understand end-user requirements and apply implementation on new and established processing platforms. Develop robust, scalable, performance driven software to be deployed on large scale computing systems Improve code quality by supporting software integration, verification and performing code reviews Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major Qualifications We Prefer: Experience C++ software development experience, preferably in Linux environments DSP/Radar domain knowledge Working understanding of parallelism and concurrency as applied to algorithm implementation on shared memory and distributed systems Experience in Software Tools: Git, CMake, GoogleTest, debugger, profiler, Jenkins Continuous integration and test experience in a hardware/software laboratory environment Please ensure the role type defined below is appropriate for your needs before applying to this role. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
