About Us
Everglades Farm is a tropical fruit tree and plant nursery based in Homestead, Florida. We grow and ship grafted fruiting trees and tropical plants to customers across the country. We're a hands-on, fast-paced team that takes pride in getting healthy, beautiful trees safely to their new homes.
The Role
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Packing & Shipping Associate to join our team. You'll be responsible for carefully packing and preparing live plant orders for shipment, making sure every tree leaves our facility in excellent condition.
What You'll Do
- Pack and prepare live trees and plants for shipment according to our standards
- Label, weigh, and process outgoing orders using shipping software
- Inspect plants before packing to ensure quality
- Keep the packing area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies
- Receive and stock incoming inventory
- Coordinate with the team to meet daily shipping deadlines
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills — comfortable with email, data entry, and learning shipping software
- Attention to detail and care when handling live plants
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Nursery, greenhouse, or shipping/warehouse experience is a plus — but not required, we'll train the right person
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time or part-time positions available
- Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays during peak season
- Pay based on experience — competitive hourly rate
