Accountant

Overview We are looking for a highly motivated individual to perform a variety of accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory management, and inter-company balancing. This position collaborates closely with the Division Manager, Controller, Yard Managers, Corporate Accounting, and Divisional Accounting personnel. The successful candidate will also engage in system conversion opportunities. Responsibilities Record journal entries Complete account reconciliations Perform financial statement review and analysis Reconcile inter-company transactions Monitor and participate in perpetual inventory activities Assist with internal and external audit requests Assist with other daily and month-end accounting functions, as needed Qualifications Required 4-Year Accounting degree At least 3 years of accounting experience Ability to work in a team environment Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Accounting software knowledge – experience with RIMAS a plus Strong oral and written communication skills Preferred Active CPA Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
