As a Retail Cashier, you will be the face of our store and often the final interaction customers have before leaving. Responsibilities Day-to-Day Duties Greet every customer warmly and provide a positive checkout experience. Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit card, and coupon transactions with precision. Maintain accountability for your cash drawer and complete balancing procedures at the beginning and end of each shift. Promote Ace Rewards and other store programs when appropriate. Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and customer-ready. Answer customer questions and resolve concerns professionally. Assist with general store cleanliness and operational tasks as needed. Help maintain a safe and welcoming shopping environment. Long-Term Success Develop strong product knowledge to better assist customers. Become a trusted resource for handling customer inquiries and transactions. Contribute to store sales, customer satisfaction, and overall team success. Must Have Previous retail cashier experience or demonstrated proficiency with cash handling and POS systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
