Our continued growth and success is made possible by our great staff and dynamic partnerships with institutions and organizations working together to ensure quality affordable housing throughout the US.Position Description: Apartment Maintenance TechnicianThis position performs light construction work and custodial functions.Carpentry: Remodel and repair workPlumbing and Household electricalExterior building maintenanceCustodial work for units to be move-in readyOther duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience: To be considered for this position, candidates must be able to demonstrate:4 years of apartment maintenance experience or equivalent4 years of direct costumer service experience with residential or other clientsProfessionalism with coworkers and residents while working in and around apartment complexStrict adherence to confidentiality policies according to resident's rights regulations and courtesyAdditional knowledge/experience desired:Computer skills for completing and recording work order informationCertification or apprenticeship in areas of maintenance (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry)Required work behaviors:Spirited initiative and resourcefulnessEntrepreneurial approachRemover of barriersResults focusedPhysical Characteristics: The position requires the following:Bending, kneeing, and awkward positions, and confined spaces to install/modify jobsStanding: Carpet, tile, concreteLifting 50+ poundsMust possess a valid driver's license and be insurable for company vehicles.Standard vision, with or without corrective eyewear.Standard hearing, with or without a hearing aid.Operating hand-tools (e.g. drills, sanders, saws, etc.)Schedule and Benefits:Schedule: Monday - Friday and on call when neededFTE Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life and AFLAC; matching 401K; paid holidays and accrued paid time-off
