And with your help, we will continue to set the standards of excellence and revolutionize the grocery industry.\ N\n The Production Team Member supports the Production Cooks, Machine Operators, and Expeditors in the metro food production facility by preparing raw ingredients and materials for hot and cold food production.\ N

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily operations of the production team by prepping, portioning, and assembling raw materials to ensure all production targets are met and safety protocols are followed.
\ N
• Ensure food quality, recipe yields, ingredient specifications, and recipe build guide standards are met to maintain quality and consistency.
\ N
• Weigh, measure, and stage materials for use in kitchen production processes.
\ N
• Operate industrial kitchen equipment such as food processors and blenders, automated slicers and dicers, in addition to manual knife handling for prepping ingredients.
\ N
• Maintain accurate labeling of products and ensure correct batch and pack dates are applied.
\ N
• Check all labeling of product for label accuracy including correct labeling of allergens.
\ N
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment and maintain equipment in accordance with Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.
\ N
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
\ N
• Report safety violations and hazards immediately;
  help maintain facility security.

Qualifications:

\ N

\n
• 0-2 years of experience in a production kitchen or food manufacturing facility environment.
\ N
• Basic understanding of various prepping and cooking processes utilized in a high-volume, US Department of Agriculture (USDA)-certified food facility.
\ N
• Basic understanding of executing production orders efficiently within a food manufacturing or kitchen environment, ensuring timely completion while maintaining a high standard of culinary excellence.
\ N
• Ability to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
\ N
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Must adhere to company dress code and standards of production kitchen dress and personal protective equipment (PPE).
\ N
• Must be able to performthe essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation.

• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
\ N
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.

• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.

• Exposure to temperatures: <
  32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >
  90 degrees Fahrenheit.

• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.

• Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
\ N
• May require use of ladders.

The wage range for this position is $22.75-$35.00 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
