We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Call Center Representative to support patients navigating their healthcare and specialty medication needs. The ideal candidate will have previous call center experience, along with a background in a medical office, healthcare setting, or health insurance environment. This role serves as an important liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and specialty pharmacies to ensure a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist patients with questions regarding specialty medications, insurance coverage, prescription status, and treatment updates.
• Coordinate and communicate with specialty pharmacies, healthcare providers, and insurance companies as needed.
• Accurately document all patient interactions, communications, and account updates within designated systems.
• Verify and update patient information while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Research and resolve patient concerns while providing timely follow-up.
• Meet established quality, productivity, attendance, and performance standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout the care process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of call center experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, health insurance, or patient support role strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, prior authorizations, or specialty pharmacy processes preferred.
• Medical billing and coding experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including data entry and navigating multiple systems.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
