- The client is seeking a seasoned VP-level communications leader to drive strategic product communications across multiple pharmaceutical accounts focused on rare disease, serving as a trusted client advisor and account team lead with strong potential for long-term conversion.
- Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead across 4 pharmaceutical product accounts spanning U.S. and global markets, with primary focus on blood disorders, rare lung disorders, and hemophilia.
- Counsel clients on product communications tied to clinical data milestones, regulatory milestones, FDA approvals, medical congresses, and product announcements.
- Lead account teams to deliver high-quality press materials, messaging, congress communications, sponsored content, and social content support. Build and maintain trusted client relationships by adapting to varied communication styles, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines consistently.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across earned, digital, paid, and social communications to ensure integrated execution.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members while collaborating closely with senior agency leadership.
- Oversee Veeva review and approval workflows to ensure deliverables move efficiently through the submission process.
- Support account growth and identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.
- 8+ years of agency Health PR or healthcare product communications experience at the VP or senior leadership level.
- Deep experience supporting prescription drug, biologic, or medical treatment communications throughout the product lifecycle - not corporate communications or general healthcare marketing.
- Strong expertise in clinical data communications, regulatory milestones, and medical congress communications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple pharmaceutical or biotech client accounts simultaneously as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Strong project management skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing workstreams.
- Excellent communication skills with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative, adaptive leadership style.
- Familiarity with Veeva PromoMats or Veeva review and approval workflows.
- Experience in rare disease, hematology, hemophilia, blood disorders, or rare lung disease.
- Experience supporting both U.S. and global healthcare communications programs.
- Background working across integrated communications, including earned, digital, paid, and social channels.
- Social content development experience in a healthcare or pharma context.
- Genuine interest in a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential.
