Senior Financial Analyst, Inventory Control

Inventory Control Sr. Financial Analyst Salary Range: $96,700 - $146,050 (based on experience, skills, etc.) General Purpose The Inventory Control Sr. Financial Analyst will provide detailed analysis of complex inventory‑related results, models and ad‑hoc inquiries. They will report to the Senior Manager, Inventory Control and develop, enhance, and manage the In‑Store inventory model, quarterly Board analysis, and complete a wide range of ad‑hoc analyses for executives and business partners. Essential Functions Lead updating and enhancing the weekly In‑Store inventory model and provide impact analysis on in‑store inventory and other key metrics. Prepare monthly Merchant Margin to Gross Margin variance analysis; prepare quarterly Gross Margin and Inventory Board variance analysis identifying business drivers. Perform complex ad‑hoc analysis on key inventory metrics (inventory, markdowns, sales) and articulate results and business impacts. Collaborate with business partners (Store & DC Ops) to improve operational metrics that correlate to improved data integrity. Evaluate internal reporting and recommend improvements in timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy. Lead system projects, modifications, enhancements, and implementations, including requirements documentation and testing. Minimum 5 years of related analytical experience. Retail and inventory experience a plus. Strong analytical ability, with data synthesis, error checking, reconciling, and design of analyses. Strong Excel and Word skills, and ability to learn multiple back‑end software applications (MicroStrategy, Hyperion, Peoplesoft Financial Systems). Ability to interact with all levels and handle matters professionally. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements / ADA Requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Must sit, stand, walk, hear, talk on the telephone, attend in‑person meetings, type, and work with paper/files. Jobs may require timely attendance and vision for reading print and/or electronic information. This role requires regular in‑office presence but allows a combination of in‑office and remote work.
